It has been an active club since that time.
Its major aim is to provide opportunities for a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities to a diverse range of people in the local and regional community.
Membership
The club has a membership of around 140. Members mostly live in the general area of the Latrobe Valley and West Gippsland, with some from further afield.
Membership is open to all ages
Current membership fees (2024-2025):

Meetings
Club nights are held on the second Wednesday of every month (except January). Meetings start at 7:30 pm and are fairly informal, usually with a particular theme such as a guest speaker, illustrated trip reports, social activities etc. The regular meeting venue is the Trafalgar Scout Hall, Kitchener St, Trafalgar. The February meeting is generally held out of doors e.g. a BBQ in a local park in or at a nearby lake.
Visitors
Visitors are most welcome at club activities and meeting nights.
